Happy Birthday America
Yesterday was Independence Day, fireworks and hamburgers! Roshan hosted a cook-out. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, Jell-O, chips and dip, brownies and two kinds of cheese cake. Justin, Evan, Yuki, Mark, Roshan's ma and pa were all there. The hamburgers were great Evan made the patties. He didn't pat all the patties down and mine was a little tennis ball in a bun. It tasted great, very juicy.

That cheese cake I made with Justin was pretty good but I lost points on presentation. The crust fell off of part of it and it sagged on that side.
The fireworks were awesome. Roshan bought a ton of fireworks. They got enough black cats to permanently scare any house pet, super sized bottle rockets, roman candles that we could set off eight at a time, two kinds of spinners and these things called napalm bombs. They weren't really napalm, duh, they were fat tubes that you sat on the ground. When you lit it, the fuse gave you time to run away but not far enough that you feel safe. It exploded a bunch of little bursts from the tube to about seven feet up then shot much higher and had a single big burst with like fifteen points. We didn't know what was going to happen with the first one and it surprised everyone, especially Evan. He hit the deck, and it was pretty damn funny. Poor Justin burned his little fingers on some fireworks. I guess touching a six hundred degree grill doesn't prep your fingers for explosions.

Wow! It's great to see that someone other than my group of friends is reading and commented!

Hey- I was there too! I just showed up late after eating dinner with my family. I was able to set off 2 packages of bottle rockets at once by tieing their fuses together- I'd never done that many before. It was fun.
