presidents' day

I am home today reading and researching on my own. I wanted to go to the library but i guess i should have done that saturday cause it was closed yesterday and today. I did go to the book store though. I bought Can You Keep a Secret by Sophi Kinsella (i don't know why i picked that one over a million others), a picture book of Lancaster pre 1930's, Jane magazine, and a los angeles county street guide. Then i went to Best Buy and bought a couple of CD's ... Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects. I liked the singles they are playing on MTV i'm not sure if i like the rest yet. I kinda doze out when i am listening to music and don't really hear anything.

I was just looking through the book on lancaster and it had a picture of a soda/candy shop and quoted that Judy Garland frequented and i looked it up in Wikipedia and it said that she did live in Lancaster for a while. I guess John Wayne (Marion Morrison man i can see why he changed his name) and Frank Zappa lived here too.

Besides shopping and working i have been playing a lot of world of warcraft. My character is level 53 Kick ass! I want to start playing more player versus player because warlocks are supposed to be good for that but i kinda freak out under pressure. I can better predict what's going to happen when I fight mobs but other characters run around and have different abilities.

I haven't said anything yet but my computer for work came in like a week and a half ago. I brought it to the computer guys and they said that it would be ready to use last monday or tuesday but i guess something big and unexpected came up because it won't be ready now until wednesday (maybe). They wipe everything off the computer and reload it. The base has a bunch of extra security things. Work has been going okay. I have told a lot of people but i don't think i have said anything on my blog yet about my job changing. I might be going from a contractor to working for the government. It would be the same job basically but i would have to take on more responsibility. I would have to manage some programs on my own and there would be more paperwork to do. There are a lot of trade offs i have to think about. I don't know which way i want to go yet. The contract that my company (spiral) has with afrl is up this summer so if i stay a contractor i'll probably switching companies then and i don't have a clue what that's going ot be like. I am not comfortable with my work yet. There is a really steep learning curve and i really don't know if i am in it for the long haul. I like the people i am working with though. There are a lot of issues to weigh.

I am going to grow my hair out so i am going to be pretty ugly for a while. I have to get the back cut on the bottom cause it's starting to look ragged. On an unrelated note why the hell is Sarah McLachlan singin on this new dmc song? It sucks!

Hmm- Working for the government, eh?

Sounds a lot like Alias... or maybe Get Smart. Let me know when they issue you a shoe phone.
