Picture of my christmas tree with the card from Nikki at the bottom. I didn't realize until after I got off the phone with her that santa is playing a flute, but it's not really a flute it's words 'tis the season to be jolly fa la lala la la lalala. Since I didn't have any of my ornaments from home I bought all new ones (dollar store and michaels) and did a theme tree. They are all bright colors like lime green, pink, electric blue, purple and silver. I used the paper star shelly gave me for christmas for the topper. It's a little big but I think it goes.

I haven't posted in a while. Thanksgiving was fun. I spent almost a whole week in Ohio and got to see just about everyone I wanted to. The food and company were awesome. For work every week I have to write a summery of the accomplishments from the week before, so the week after thanksgiving I wrote a quick blurb about my vacation where I quantified everything... ate three kinds of pie, saw four movies, played five video games, saw six friends, four family members, etc. Anyway it was pretty funny but I can't remember it all.

I have a cold now that I am just getting over. It isn't hitting me so hard but some people are getting pnemonia. The base was offering flue shots for the civil servents on base but I didn't take them up on it.

I got my first christmas present in the mail. Shame on me, I opened it. A picture of the present was on the box, so it's not like I ruined any surprise. But it sure as heck was a surprise!! I got a mixer just like mom's only in red. I was planning on getting one just like it for myself eventually. It never even crossed my mind that someone else might get it for me. I made a cheese cake yesterday. It was a disaster but it was a practice cake and it might still taste okay.
