Saturday injury report

I thought someone might find it funny how badly I have been beating myself up. Yesterday I ran into a sharp metal door frame and nearly knocked myself out. I have a big knot and bruise on my forhead. Then I played ultimate today and bruised my left index finger and twisted my knee. I have new cleats and half way through the game I wrapped my big toes and heels with duct tape. The blisters got torn up when I took the tape off (at home) and a bunch of adhesive was left behind. Then I was running oddly and my torso was moving faster than my legs and I fell/dove and did something to my ankle. At first I thought I really hurt myself and got all panic-ey and was having a hard time breathing so I sat out of the game. Then my ankle was feeling better but I stayed out of the game because I didn't want to admit that maybe I wasn't really hurt. But that was short lived. I came home and sat around for a while and figured out that I really did mess up my ankle ... and my knee is still all tweaked.
**edit** I just looked in the mirror and I have a sunburn.

Ouch! I thought that with all these new athletic endeavors that you had developed better "body awareness!" I guess you're a work in process. Be careful-That's the only body you have!

When I first started playing basket ball I really tore up the bottom of my feet (because of all the quick direction changing)- I had huge blisters that just wouldn't heal because I kept on playing. But eventually they did, and now I'm getting calluses in the right areas so it doesn't happen anymore.
