weekends are the best

Yesterday was great. I went shopping with Jennifer and we bought all kinds of nice new clothes. Jennifer is a good shopper, quick and honest with feedback. I followed her to her soccer game in the afternoon. Her team lost but put up a good fight. I was the only spectator for her team and it was windy, very windy. Beside the wind it was cool and sunny. Sitting on the grass watching the game was relaxing.

Then at night I went to Dave's birthday party. His parents were there and everybody thought his dad was super cool. I heard that his parents met one day and went to the fair that night, his dad proposed that day and they were married ten days later. The party was fun. I was dd and took a couple people home. I have started drinking less because I am trying to eat better all around and I think it’s making my mind mushy. It feels like I can’t concentrate or remember things that I normally would the morning after I drink. Dave’s dad tried to get Steve to dance. I think because he was bragging about being good at it. I said, “I’ve seen him dance in the office, it’s nothing special.” Everyone laughed and Jeremy said something about wishing he could see through the walls to know what’s going on in our office. Steve kicked my butt a couple times. He really can’t take getting made fun of.

I like traveling, but being in town is good too because you can make plans for the weekend. I probably wouldn’t have done anything with Jennifer if I was gone during the week.

The most embarassing thing happened to me tonight. People were meeting at my place before we went out to drinks and a movie and someone called to say they were at the gate so I leave with my cell phone, gate remote and I was eating some cheese and crackers. I was wearing sandles with heels and my black pants with cuffs. I am not entirely sure how it happened but I think my heel got caught in the other cuff and I fell down the stairs to my apartment. I caught the railing and smashed the cheese (so what), my cell phone flew to the cement below and the remote fell in the bushes. I got all twisted up and somehow, got scratches and bruises all over my legs and toes and I bruised my arm pretty bad. They tell me I didn't scream but they heard the tumble. I thought someone might come out so I tried to straighten myself out so I was sitting on the stairs when someone popped his head out "any broken bones?" No, but it was really gross when I pulled up my pant leg and saw all kinds of skin stuck to the inside of the pants. Well I think I'm going to ice my bruised/scratched/swollen ankle and go to bed.

too big for my little room ... oh well. One day I will have a bigger room to put them in.
